# Use cases

28 real runs from the Wego skill, grouped by where in the trip the question gets asked. Prices and schedules wander, so treat the figures as examples.

## Inspire

### 01 · Do we need a visa to go there?

Riyadh to Tokyo · school break · inspire · info

**User:** The kids want Japan for the school break. We've never been. Can we just turn up with our Saudi passports, or is there something to sort out first?

**Agent:** I read the visa-free list for a Saudi passport, 71 countries, and Japan is not on it. That is not the same as needing a visa. The list names places you may enter without arranging one; it does not say what applies anywhere else, and it carries no visa type and no length of stay.

**User:** So yes or no, can we show up at Tokyo and be let in? And is the embassy really the place to ask?

**Agent:** I can't tell you either way, and I'd rather say so than guess on a family booking. What settles it is the Japanese embassy in Saudi Arabia or Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The officer at the border enforces what those two publish, so their answer is the one that counts.

**User:** That's exactly what I needed. Thanks.

**Agent:** Once the entry rules are settled, give me your dates and departure city and I'll find flights and somewhere to stay.

### 02 · When's the next long weekend?

**User:** I'm planning a short trip and I think there might be a public holiday coming up I could combine with the weekend. What's coming up in Saudi Arabia over the next month or so?

**Agent:** Nothing inside the next month, but one just past it: Saudi National Day, Thursday 23 September. It lands right against the weekend, so Thursday to Saturday is a three-day break with no leave at all, 23 to 25 Sep.

**User:** Is the 23rd definitely the date, or does it shift each year?

**Agent:** Fixed at 23 September on the Gregorian calendar, unlike Eid, which follows the lunar calendar. Only the weekday changes year to year.

**User:** Anything else around then? An Eid I could stretch it with?

**Agent:** No. In the window I read, 17 Aug to 15 Oct, National Day is the only one. Both Eids fall in spring and early summer in 2027.

**User:** That's what I needed. Thanks!

**Agent:** 23 to 25 Sep it is. Tell me where you want to go and I can search flights and hotels.

### 03 · Where can I stop over without a visa?

Riyadh to Lahore · one way, two-night stopover · inspire · info

**User:** One way Riyadh to Lahore next week, and I'd like to break it with a couple of nights somewhere. Only somewhere I don't need to arrange a visa for first, no embassy appointments, no forms.

**Agent:** Which passport do you hold? The visa-free list is keyed on nationality, not on where you're flying from.

**User:** Pakistani.

**Agent:** Doha is on the list for a Pakistani passport, and Qatar Airways already routes Riyadh to Lahore that way. Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Muscat and Istanbul are not on it, but that is not the same as needing a visa: the list names places you may enter without arranging one, and it does not tell visa-free from an e-visa or a permit you apply for.

**User:** Can you confirm Doha is really visa-free? I've heard Pakistanis sometimes need an online permit. And what does the stopover add versus flying direct?

**Agent:** I can't confirm it, and I'd rather say so than have you turned away at an airport. Check Qatar's own immigration channel. On cost: direct is SAR 326 on a red-eye or SAR 430 at a civil hour. Doha as two one-ways is about SAR 1,204, so three to four times the direct fare, because a multi-night break needs two separate tickets rather than one itinerary.

**User:** Three to four times doesn't work. Anything else on the route, closer to direct?

**Agent:** Muscat is the one, and both its legs are daytime nonstops. But I have no way to check whether Oman gives a Pakistani passport true visa-on-arrival or wants an e-visa first, and you said advance paperwork is a dealbreaker, so treat that as a gate before you book. The Royal Oman Police portal is the authority; SalamAir will also tell you straight, because airlines carry the cost of a denied boarding.

The nonstop out of Istanbul starts at SAR 1,649, so that one is not competitive.

### 04 · Flights and somewhere to stay

Dubai to Amman · four nights, three adults · search · flights + hotels

**User:** Salam, quick trip to Amman for me and two friends. Out this Monday, four nights, so back Friday. Flights both ways and a hotel, all three of us.

**Agent:** Which city are you flying from?

**User:** Dubai.

**Agent:** Confirmed on both: all four nights, every total for three people. One room beats two at both properties, because splitting the party re-prices each room rather than halving the rate.

**Agent:** One thing to flag: this hit Wego's rate limit partway through, a research-preview cap on how fast searches can be created. I waited it out and re-ran the ones it refused, so no day is missing, but say the word and I'll send Wego a request for a higher allowance for this kind of multi-day sweep.

**User:** The Flynas direct on the 13th is only 18 riyals more with no layover. Full details on that one, and is it refundable?

### 07 · Two of us, a child, a baby.

**User:** Round trip for the family out of Riyadh, about a week, roughly three weeks off. Me, my wife, our four-year-old, and the baby, who isn't walking yet so he'll be on my lap.

**User:** Dubai. Out around 9 December, back the 16th, economy. And I want one total for all four of us.

### 08 · Where can I stay for four nights?

**Agent:** All fifteen done, and the mid-range barely moves across the window.

Cheapest is flattest for check-ins on the 12th through the 15th, at AED 145 a night, so AED 290 for the two nights; the 3rd and the 17th are the dearest days. Every figure is for the room, two adults sharing, not per person.


**Agent:** Worth flagging that creating a hotel search is metered here. I hit the limit after nine of them, waited the 60 seconds it asked for, and the tenth went through, so nothing is missing from that table. If sweeps like this are going to be regular, I can ask Wego for a higher allowance.

### 10 · What airports are near me?

Dubai area to Delhi · one way, three airports · search · info

**User:** Flying home one way in about two weeks. I always go from Dubai but someone at work swears Abu Dhabi is cheaper. What airports around here actually make sense for a flight to India?

Abu Dhabi is a net loss unless you take the bus. Sharjah is the one genuinely worth doing.


**User:** Sharjah's tempting but 06:30 is rough. Later nonstops? And does the 401 include a checked bag? I'll have a suitcase.

**Agent:** Air Arabia at 12:55 is four dirhams more than the dawn one, into Delhi late afternoon.

On the bag I have to be straight with you: these are partner fares, and the data carries price, provider and refundability but no baggage allowance, so I can't confirm it from here – it shows at the provider's fare selection. Air India Express usually bundles a checked bag on international economy and Air Arabia usually charges for one, so the cheaper fare may not be the cheaper trip.

### 11 · Who flies this route?

### 12 · Not before nine, not after nine.

Riyadh to Jeddah · return, 09:00 to 21:00 · narrow · flights

**User:** Riyadh to Jeddah and back, out Wednesday the 17th, home the Wednesday after. Family with me, so nothing before nine in the morning and nothing after nine at night, both legs.

**Agent:** One thing first: today is Wednesday 18 November, so the 17th was yesterday and it was a Tuesday. If you mean the next two Wednesdays that is 25 November out and 2 December back. Which did you want?

**User:** The 25th out and the 2nd back.

**Agent:** Worth knowing that the time filter applies to the outbound, so I read the return leg off the results myself rather than trust it was filtered too. Both legs are inside your hours:

### 13 · Not in economy this time.

**User:** Dubai to London and back, out in about three days, home a week later. I flew economy last time and I'm not doing that again. What does business run me?

**User:** Why are Emirates using two different London airports?

**Agent:** Because I searched LON, the city, which covers Heathrow, Gatwick, City, Luton and Stansted. That is how a split like that gets in. Say the word and I will pin it to Heathrow only.

### 14 · Only the A380.

**User:** Dubai to London and back in the next few days. One thing matters as much as the price: I want to be on the A380. Show me only those.

**Agent:** Emirates is the only carrier flying it nonstop on this route.

**User:** How do I know that's every A380 option? Could another airline fly it and you've left them out?

**Agent:** Fair challenge, and my first list was misleading: the airline vocabulary on a search covers the whole snapshot, not what the filter matched. I read all 423 matching trips through to the last page instead. Five other airlines do appear under the A380 filter, but only because one leg of a longer routing uses one, and on most of them that leg is nowhere near London. For an A380 the whole way, Emirates nonstop is genuinely it.

**User:** Heathrow suits me better. Fares for EK1 out and the 19:40 back?

### 15 · Only the ones that don't stop.

Riyadh to Istanbul · nonstop, family of four · narrow · flights

**User:** Riyadh to Istanbul for a week with the family, out Thursday the 17th, back Thursday the 24th. One plane out, one plane back, nothing in between. Only show me those.

**Agent:** November 17 and 24 are Tuesdays; December 17 and 24 are the Thursdays. Did you mean December?

**User:** December, yes.

**Agent:** One thing to flag: some options showing zero stops are not flights at all. You said one plane each way, so I dropped those.

**User:** Good catch on the bus. Four of us, kids are 9 and 6. Before pricing though: every one of those, out and back, no stop at all?

**Agent:** Checked segment by segment, not just the stop count. Pegasus is one segment and one flight number each way, PC691 out and PC690 back, and the same holds for the rest of the list. One thing worth knowing: most of them land at Sabiha Gökçen on the Asian side, not the main Istanbul Airport.

**User:** Then Turkish, into the main airport. Price it for all four.

**Agent:** I have to walk something back first: not every Turkish-coded flight uses the main airport.

What I can confirm from the results is the aircraft: a Boeing 777-300, a proper widebody. For seat comfort, Skytrax or SeatGuru is the place, and it's outside what I can see.
